Inhome Testing
inhome, in-home, bereidingstesten, kooktesten, smaakonderzoek, sensorische analyse, sensorisch, onderzoek, smaakDepending on the product and the goal of the study, the recommended method is sensory analysis under controlled conditions on the one hand or inhome testing in a real situation on the other hand.

Inhome testing is literally testing of products in a home situation.

This way of testing has many applications in the household & personal care sector, where the products are assessed only after a longer period of usage.

For food products inhome tests are the most obvious way of testing for e.g. assessment during preparation, analysing acceptance of baby food and pet food.

Although the supervision over the circumstances in these tests is more limited compared to tests in a sensory lab, V-G sensory leaves nothing to chance:

  • the target group is carefully selected from our own database with more than 3.000 registered consumers with demographic data, eating habits, product & brand consumption, purchase behaviour and even information on pets
  • products are meticulously blinded
  • we give a detailed briefing to the respondents about the test proceeding
  • the respondents test the products in an alternating order according to a balanced design
  • We run through the completed questionnaires together with the respondents
